What we collect
Account info you give us (email, name), profile details you choose to enter (GPA, test scores, preferences), and the content you create (essays, notes, college lists). We also collect basic usage logs to keep the Service running.
How we use it
To operate College Compass for you: save your work, personalize recommendations, and send you deadline reminders you've opted into. That's it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't share your essays with colleges, counselors, or other users. We don't use your content to train third-party AI models.
AI features
When you use AI tools (feedback, chat, chance estimates), the relevant prompt and content are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. They process it under their own privacy terms and do not retain it to train models on your behalf.
Data storage
Data is stored on our managed cloud backend with row-level security so only you can read your rows.
Your controls
You can edit or delete your essays, notes, and colleges at any time. To delete your account entirely, email hello@summit.app.
Children
College Compass is not directed at children under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we'll delete it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email.
