How do I add a college to my list?+
Go to My Colleges → Discover Schools, search for a school, and click Add. It'll show up on your dashboard with its own workspace.
Where do I write my Common App personal statement?+
Use the Personal Statement tab in the sidebar. It has a 650-word meter and autosaves as you type.
How do supplemental essays work?+
Open any college from My Colleges. Each college has its own Essays tab where drafts are saved and linked to that school.
Does College Compass submit my applications?+
No. College Compass is a planning workspace. You still submit through the Common App or the school's portal.
How does the admission chance calculator work?+
Once you fill out GPA and test scores in Preferences, College Compass compares your stats to each school's published admit range and labels it Safety, Likely, Target, Reach, or Hard Reach.
Is my data private?+
Yes. Your essays, notes, and profile are tied to your account and not shared. See our Privacy page for details.
